Title: Need help getting plugins to work
Post by: abubin on 8 06 October, 2026, 08:15:30 AM
Throughout the years, I have been updating PVD using various methods and I do not remember what frankenstein version I am having now. However, it shows PVD 1.0.2.7 which is the last working version.

It is still working fine especially the plugins still able to get movies from themoviedb. It is showing version 0.1.1.3.

So I want to install the latest version of PVD packaged with latest plugins. Downloaded PVD and the links and got it running. Showing same version of PVD 1.0.2.7. However, the plugins are newer version. themoviedb [EN] 1.0.0.3. Thing is, it doesn't work in getting movie information. Says no movie found. Tried IMDB and so on and non works. Just wondering what did I miss. Appreciate any help.

Since you updated to the latest PVD version (1.0.2.7), only the TMDB plugin works for you, while all the scripts are non-functional. A download link for the PVD 1.0.2.7 MOD version is provided below. This is a modified (MOD) version of PVD 1.0.2.7; you should extract it into a new folder.

Once you have done that, look for my updated TMDB scripts on this forum. As for the IMDb plugins and scripts, they no longer work. To use IMDb scripts, you need to have Python installed on your PC. You now need Python + Selenium scripts and modified .psf IMDb scripts, because IMDb uses only HTTPS connections. You can also find some instructions on using Python on this forum. I highly recommend using AI-assisted help and instructions for installing and using Python, as well as for setting up the Python + Selenium and .psf IMDb scripts. Personally, I have relied heavily—and continue to rely—on AI advice for using Python and various matters related to using PVD and Python together. I am also available on the forum to provide help and advice.
